How to create a Mood Board on Pinterest

Updated: Jun 12, 2020

It’s time to start planning your engagement session or wedding by creating your very own mood board. The mood board will help us understand your likes and dislikes for the shoot. This is NOT a shot list, but merely a mood board that conveys to us the feeling you're looking for. We will still employ our own style but it helps us understand you better. Neat, right? Here’s what you do:

1. Create/login to your Pinterest account and start a public mood board titled “Bride + Groom Engagement or Wedding.” You can add your fiance as a group member so that they can also be part of your fun.

2. Follow us @ BossBrides. As you scroll through our photos, you can save photos from our boards and latest pins under ‘Activity.’ Feel free to search for keywords such as “Engagement at Laguna Beach, California weddings, Elopement, civil weddings, etc.” to help pinpoint the exact location of where you would like to ‘save’ examples.

3. Browse through the images and pin (save) 10-20 images to the mood board you are creating. We ask that you be selective and not go over 20 images. Optional: Write a few simple words on what you like about that image. (I.E. I love the color, their wardrobe, the location, or the emotion, etc).

4. Share it with us once it is completed. We prefer this within 2 weeks of the date at the latest.
